Youth Booster Fund
The Capital Area United Way is pleased to announce the availability of Youth Booster Funds, which provide mini-grants of up to $2,000 to youth serving organizations in Hughes and Stanley counties.
The Youth Booster Fund Committee will assist organizations with: national/regional registration fees/scholarships for youth unable to afford the fees; youth training/education; adult training/education programs geared toward working with youth; special youth programs and/or speakers; equipment and/or equipment upgrades; necessities and/or supplies used for youth projects, etc.
The Youth Booster Fund Committee will fund creative and innovative projects generated, planned and implemented by youth for the betterment of their school or community.
Funding for Youth Booster Funds has been made available through allocated funds from the Capital Area United Way and donor designations from our annual campaign.
1. Applicants must be a youth-serving organization, or individual youth, in Hughes or Stanley County, South Dakota.
2. Organizations applying for funds must be either a 501c3 nonprofit organization or a school within Hughes or Stanley counties
- If your organization is not a 501c3, you may identify a 501c3 fiscal sponsor qualified to handle grant funds. Please make sure to include the name of the fiscal sponsor in your application.
Applications are due May 12th 2017 by 4:00pm. Checks will be dispersed in June 2017.

2. Please DO NOT 3-hole punch applications. Applications must be fastened with a staple or paper-clip.
Review & Award
The Youth Booster Fund Committee will review all proposals received by the deadline. Final recommendations to fund or not fund are subject to approval by the Capital Area United Way Board of Directors.
